Each day, a random time (to the
second) is chosen for the previous day's entries.
The 21 entries closest to the random time are
then examined for the proper syllable pattern,
and those that fit the proper pattern are judged
by a panel of Editors who select the prize-winner.
On weekends and holidays, the closest submission
to the random time (regardless of syllable pattern)
is the winner.
The winner, and the other 20
entries closest to the random time (regardless
of syllable pattern), are posted each day at
10:00 A.M. Eastern Time.
